Supply Chain Security Principal Engineer

An Export Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that an organization’s export activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Here are some key duties and responsibilities typically associated with this role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and enhance Country of Origin determination process from import of raw materials to export of finished goods and all products in between
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that export-controlled items are not exported in violation of Singapore laws.
• Review and Approval: Review and approve proposed exports, ensuring they meet legal requirements. Excellent analytical, audit, organization skills including ability to collect, structure, analyze and communicate data
• Managing compliance training for import, export, and other trade programs assist in establishing and creating a Supply Chain Security programs.
• Coordination of efforts to meet and maintain acceptable performance levels with regards to compliance objectives with an ability to proactively support, train, and communicate external partners
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and investigations related to export control activities.
• Liaison: Act as a liaison with federal and state regulating agencies

Requirements

• A pro-active self-starter who is able to work independently
• Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: At least two years of relevant experience in export control or compliance.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using internet and computer software for compliance monitoring.
• Legal Knowledge: Understanding of federal export control regulations and the ability to interpret them.
